Journal Entry

The Food and Drug Administration is concerned about health hazards from a component of plastic bottles and other packaging called bisphenol-A, or BPA. They concerned about the effects it has on the brain and behavior of infants and children. The FDA is now investigating BPA and it’s effects.

    This is an interesting study and I would like to learn more about it. Where in the world is this ingredient in plastic being used? I know my daughters with babies are using glass bottles for this very reason. Rosalie

    I also came across this article and found it to be very interesting. It's important that the are investigating these effects and getting the information out.
    I sent this article to my sister, whose pregnant, and she found it to be very helpful in choosing the safest bottles for her child.

    This is a very interesting article, especially due to the fact that plastic bottles are used in most peoples every day drinking. I think that is awesome that researchers are finding these facts out, hopefully more good will come of it!

    Can bisphenol-A effect teenagers and adults as well? Good thing they are discovering this, hopefully they will find out more.

    What an interesting study. I can't believe that BPA is that harmful. Hopefully they can fix the kinks and get some more safe bottles out on the market.
